Member Savings Credit Union (Member Savings) and Alterna Savings and Credit Union Limited (Alterna Savings) are pleased to announce that our merger was finalized on December 31st 2020.
Member Savings is now officially Alterna Savings and Credit Union Limited.
This change follows a Member Savings member vote, which was held virtually between November 9th to November 13th 2020. Members overwhelmingly chose to join Alterna Savings. We're thrilled to begin this new chapter for our credit union!
What's changing?
Member Savings is now officially Alterna Savings. Over time you will begin to see greater use of the Alterna Savings logo (pictured below).
A benefit of our joining with Alterna is the support Member Savings will receive following the closure of the LCBO Toronto Head Office where our branch is located.
As a result of the LCBO building closure, Member Savings is relocating to the Alterna Savings Corporate Head Office. This partnership is also helping to extend our reach. We can now offer you pre-arranged in-person branch support through Alterna Savings' network of 35 branch locations across Ontario by calling 1-888-560-2218. Please note, our phone numbers are not changing because of this move.
What's staying the same?
There are no changes to your products and services at this time. Also, your debit card, cheques, auto deposits and payments, and all the ways you bank will continue as usual for the time being.
